I was changing the oil in my new engine yes. It is the 10 hour oil change to change the thin break in oil.
The engine has only been in for about a week now. The filter was put on when we installed it about a week ago. I only put the filter on with my hands, no wrench.
Yes when I went to take it off I put a filter wrench on it (the good ones with the metal band not the crap rubber ones) and it wouldn't come off. It crushed bad.
I tried channel locks and all kinds of stuff before sticking a screwdriver through it and trying to turn it..... nothing
So now all that is left is the hard metal ring that the threads are located on. The part where when you look at a new filter you can see the threads.
Anyone have any ides on how to get it off?
Thanks
