First off, a 1964 Evinrude 18hp long shaft tiller with some issues. This has been a problem that has been ongoing for a little while. I was going to have it professionally fixed but I ran into some $$ issues. The shift lever has moved in towards the housing and I don't have any idea what could be the cause. The gears still go in their respective place, forward is still forward and reverse is still reverse.
Then my other problem which I think I self diagnosed, is this one.
I left the motor propped all the way up last night. As far as it will go without any obstructions. Then next morning when I went outside I saw the lube like that after a recent change because of the milkyness of it.
I dropped the lower unit and looked for anything that could leak and I think this is it. I have no idea what it is called or how to fix it if I did diagnose it right.
By the way, don't mind the dates. They are wrong as you can probably tell.
