Re: Ok OK OK, Lubedude? Whick best synthetic? AMsoil, Mobile 1 or ?
Well, Ill try and be as cival as possible:

"Which is the best"

This is a question that has been going around for a long time, of course you all know where my loyalty lies, but the answer is, It depends on how you are going to use it. Buy that I mean, How long are you going to go between changes?

If you are just going to change your oil every 3,000 miles anyway, you are actually wasting money if you use a synthetic. ANY synthetic will go to 7,500 with no difficulty at all, (Thats pushing it with a conventional oil). The Diesel oils will easily go that far also. The better synthetics will easily go 10,000, The S3000 Amsoil is formulated to go even longer, up to 25,000 or one year. (I use this oil in the 5W-30 in my pickup and change it at 10,000). Obviously we would be talking mostly highway driving at that kind of mileage in a year, Highway mileage is easy on oil. Mobil is coming out as we speak now with a Extended drain oil also, after all, they have been trying to catch up to Amsoil forever.

Even the Super Tech synthetic at WalMart will go 7,500 miles, It incidently is a pretty good bargan, although a group 3 synthetic. Its comparable to the Castrol Syntec, and a lot less money.

Which is Best??? Hey, Its all slick!
