Ok tell me about egg-nogg

Ok call me stupid, but being from South Africa I have no clue what egg-nogg is, as I see in movies and sitcoms etc. from the US, please explain to me what exactly it is and how it is made, it looks good though ......

Deejaycee,
It can be purchased in stores during the Holiday season without the alcohol. The non-alcohol version is what the children get. The alcohol is added for the adults.
Some families have wassail during the Holidays, also.

one of my friends that work with me says it is not nice, she had it when visiting in new york ...... must be a US delicacy .... i'm sure you guys won't enjoy our South African delicacy's .....

I would hardy consider it a delicacy. It is good though. I enjoy the stuff. No one else in my family cares for it, so I guess there is just more for me

You have to have a taste for it. The people who don't think its gross, its just not something that you can base your descion on someone elses taste.

I Think when youre not from Holland,you find dropjes realy discusting.
We had some Pollish people working finely thy only took the yellow red and green candys becouse thy thougt the purple ones were dropjes to.
drop is black taste salty verry good
