Hey all, I am finally getting around to changing out my impeller. Getting to the main housing for it wasn't bad. But now I am stuck. I had a manual ( my fiance has thrown it out because it looked old...)and I am ordering a new one now.
I was hoping though before the new one shows up I could get some pointers.

I am trying to remove the impeller housing and it looks like I need to remove the upper bolt to the pinion it seems to be all together. Is that correct? If that's the case, don't I need to have the correct set pressure for the pinion? similar to a differential in a car/truck?

Or do I somehow knock out the housing away? It looks like it could definitely separate but I don't want to do it yet without confirmation. It all seems to be connected to the pinion though or is it just kind of pushed in there and stuck?

thanks,

Andy

It separates where the blue arrow is pointing.----No need to remove pinion nut.------No need for a small atomic bomb to get at the impeller.
