Hi everyone, first post. Been lurking for awhile, but now that the weather is getting better I am getting more eager to start on my first boat restoration. It's a older Apollo 18' hardtop I believe the year is around 1977. Has a 190 OMC 302 Ford that is seized. I want it out of there so I can see the full extent of what I am up against. My question is. Do I have to pull the outdrive off before I can pull the motor? Or can I leave all that stuff that I know is good and yank the motor?
Second question, it seized due to previous owner leaving a little water in the manifold. One side cracked. Is there a upgrade I can buy that will replace the cracked manifold?
Third question, is there a reliable website I can either download or buy an owners manual for this motor and stern drive? I would love to have some reference for future maintenance and so on.
