I'd recommend getting OEM Cobra Service and Parts Manuals for your setup (often available on eBay).<br /><br />But do I recall you mentioning in another post that you had a Clymers already? See page 398-399 w.r.t. testing your ESA switches.<br /><br />If they work correctly, the five step adjustment procedure outlined in the Stuart Hastings link should make sure they're kicking on & off at the correct time when shifting. And what is your idle set at (in RPMs)? Too high an idle speed has been known to cause shifting problems.<br /><br />Like bruceb said, problem is probably behind the transom, but I'd at least double check the things above before pulling the drive, especially if the guy who replaced your shift cable really knew what he was doing....<br /><br />Remember, I'm a novice, so take any advice from me with that in mind.
