OMC 800 drive raises by its self..

OMC 800, Lower the drive and it will come back up in a few seconds.. I think the solenoids are bad. What do you Guys think?

first thing UNHOOK THE BATTERY NOW.... I mean RIGHT NOW

Next we need a mod to move this to the correct place and then a bit of troubleshooting is in order

Batteries are always shut off when boat is sitting in the yard.. thanks to the person that moved this post to the correct area

I think your 800 is making up for all the other 800's that wont raise.

I agree, it sounds like the up relay (solenoid) is sticking. Or, something amiss in the wiring to the switch at the helm, or the switch itself is sick.

Well, looks like I had a weak switch causing the problem .. I found that the power wire wasn't fused from the Ign switch so I installed a circuit breaker on the power side while it was apart and all is working like it brand new ..... Thanks.
