Hello,
I just bought a 1986 Glastron X-19. (today) It has a V-6 and the OMC cobra out drive.
its a bit rough around the edges, but I think for a bit of work and the price i paid its a great boat. (like many around here I have the fix-it sickness
)
after doing a through check on the boat I noticed that my exhaust bellows is ripped in two places.
My questions are this:
How does that effect the boats function? ( I know it needs to be replaced)
Can I still use the boat? I would like to take it out and do a through sea trial to examine other areas of the boat.
With this ripped will I take on water?
I found this kit to repair the problem, and get a few other things done at the same time too:

Thanks for your help! I love the vast amount of information on this forum!
