Can anyone help me locate a tilt/trim sensor switch for my 1990 OMC 5.0 HO engine/Cobra sterndrive? Engine model number is 502APRPW5. Thanks.

It's on the starboard (right) side of the transome assy. It bolts on the inside of the gimble ring. Hard to see, but that's where it be.

Good luck with that, let me know if they do in fact actually have them, I would be surprised. I ended up building one myself with the old housing and arm with a new radioshack potentiometer of matched values, one whole season on it so far so good.

Hi, your fix sounds like the only viable solution given lack of parts. Could you provide the details of the parts you used and any hints for the assembling and waterproofing? Many thanks!!

Just a comment. Your engine model number is 502APRPWS, not PW5. I've got a '91 Chris-Craft with a 1990 574APRPWS. I had to get real close to the engine model plate to get the number right. I read it as a '5' at first and couldn't find anything anywhere. Change to 'S'...all kinds of info.
