One of my favorite days

Today is Winter....... and tomorrow is the actual Soltice!!!!

I enjoy the Soltice in the Winter .......

It is the official signal for days to get longer.......

and closer to boating again!!!!

We normally do not see "ice out" until mid to late March but..... it's coming!!

Ice Out is the day you put your Boot Ice Cleats away,+ dig out the Boat,.......
It's the day After the last day of the season you can Walk On Water.........

however the days in canada are gonna get colder here now.
we got another 5 months to go before we can even think about dropping the bote in the water,

gotta flash up thoes sleds.
then choose.... go sledding or re fit the boat?
theres gotta be a happy medium!

Ya'll keep your crap up there.
It was cold enough here today as it was - water temp was 49 degrees, and the air was about 40. Windier than h***. I couldn't get a dang bite on nothing. 'Bout ready to move south for the winter. Brrrr.

Same here in Phoenix. A high of 60 with a low of 34. I'm freezing.

Just checked the temp it is 10:40 pm and 0 F -18 C with a full moon and a foot of snow. Can almost read the paper sitting on the porch in the moonlight. warmest it has been in a week. Right balmy out. and no mosquitoes.

the ice shantys will be on some o the smaller lakes!
good fishin. and all warm and toasty in yer wood fired shed!

and dj, as far as 60 degrees during the day....(edited due to non sympathatec emotions)

Man, it was ONLY 76 degrees last week.

This week it really is cold, why can't every week be like last week, and who says global warming is a bad thing, anyway?
