Re: OOPs Crew

Double D and Q ... both of you have some sweet water rides there! I love the older Glastrons ... and the older Mercs were sweet, but from the mid 70's thru the 80's I had problems with them and really would not care to have another later than about '72.

The Hurricane is sweet also ... wife would love to have something like that ... and I would be cool with it as long as I could hunt and fish out of it! Problem is I don't have too much room in the garage unless I get a smaller tow vehicle ... garage is about 40 feet long and I pull the Skeeter and Yukon into the same hole ... that way the Skeeter can thaw out till morning and I don't have to unhook and hook it up again. Gotta figure out a way to get a longer boat without getting rid of the Yukon!

Aspeck. The smallest deck boat they make is the 17 footer I have. Pull it with the minivan. What's nice is it has a spot to sit on the stern to fish off of or off the front deck. However, if we're tubing or cruising it's rated for 7 people and 135HP. (If I ever replaced the motor, I'd consider the 135HP simply for the extra HP with it loaded with people)

I wanted a bowrider originally, we thought of a pontoon, etc and the deck boats kinda hit that sweet spot since we only ever boat on lakes.

I'm jealous of the 40ft garage though. Wish I had that space, I could then store my boat indoors come winter.

Re: OOPs Crew

Hmmm, 17 foot ... that would fit! Cool beans! Will have to look into it a little bit more.

yep, the garage is sweet ... told the wife that I needed a 4 car garage if we were going to build a new house. That was 5 years ago ... I got my garage ... under the house so it stays comfy in the winter and I can keep all my playtoys in the garage (motorcycle, boat, 76 T/A, lawn mower).

Re: OOPs Crew

I have been good,

very busy at work.

plus being winter and all its got me going on my other interests.. picked up a snowblower (non running) 24" 2 stage MTD (free) and a non running craftsman tiller (free).. just finished negoting a trade.. i traded my 81 montgomery wards lawn tractor with 44" deck, a 42" 2 stage snow thrower, a 30 hp onan propane engine (verticle shaft) and a 15hp onan propane engine (verticle shaft).. for a 1975 bolens g14 garden tractor with 38" snow thrower and 42" deck.

that brings my snow blower total to 4. i have 1 24" 2 stage push,, 1 24" 2 stage self propelled, 1 38" pto driven (for the bolens) and 1 36" belt driven MTD (for the front of a lawn tractor) sad thing the 24"'s need carb work which I am doing.. but the bolens and 38" work just fine.

yea.. i am a tinkerer, and a horse trader. best thing about it, non of that stuff cost me a dime.

BOAT CONTENT....BOAT CONTENT....BOAT CONTENT:D:D

now that I have a heavy duty gardentractor, i can use that to push and pull the boat around without having to drive my truck across the lawn.
