Re: OOPs Crew
Aspeck. The smallest deck boat they make is the 17 footer I have. Pull it with the minivan. What's nice is it has a spot to sit on the stern to fish off of or off the front deck. However, if we're tubing or cruising it's rated for 7 people and 135HP. (If I ever replaced the motor, I'd consider the 135HP simply for the extra HP with it loaded with people)
I wanted a bowrider originally, we thought of a pontoon, etc and the deck boats kinda hit that sweet spot since we only ever boat on lakes.
I'm jealous of the 40ft garage though. Wish I had that space, I could then store my boat indoors come winter.
Double D and Q ... both of you have some sweet water rides there! I love the older Glastrons ... and the older Mercs were sweet, but from the mid 70's thru the 80's I had problems with them and really would not care to have another later than about '72.
The Hurricane is sweet also ... wife would love to have something like that ... and I would be cool with it as long as I could hunt and fish out of it! Problem is I don't have too much room in the garage unless I get a smaller tow vehicle ... garage is about 40 feet long and I pull the Skeeter and Yukon into the same hole ... that way the Skeeter can thaw out till morning and I don't have to unhook and hook it up again. Gotta figure out a way to get a longer boat without getting rid of the Yukon!
