Outboard trim pump wont work

Have a 1979 merc 115hp that has an outboard trim pump. There are 3 wires that have been cut a blue, green,and purple wire that run to the trim controls on the throttle. Any idea on the wiring for the trim pump end?

on my boat the green and blue go from the solinode to battery, i hane a inline 6 1978 mariner should be close, but it will made a difference if green is hooked to positive on battery it may run backwards so then reverse wiring. good luck
