How does this work?
A little history; I went looking for a prop and ended up buying the whole motor for 60 bucks. A 1964 Johnson 40hp longshaft. (no controls) The seller even offered me an electric shift lower unit for 50, but I don't know anything about those types of units.
Anyway, all the wiring was cut clean at the motor. I can figure most of it out, but am wondering if that aformentioned lamp is a special bulb, or will any 12VDC bulb work? I know I once tried to replace a bulb on my snowthrower and was told it was going to cost me 40 bucks for a little bulb about 3/4" long. (thank God for moonlight)
I hope this isn't the same case.
