anybody watch that idiodicy?
man that was a fairly violent peace march. looks more like a bunch of idjits yakking and vandalizing.
that was one of the most angry marches I have seen in a long time.
while I support anyones right to march and protest its hard to support them spitting on folks and just being hateful for the sake of hatred.

in fact its impossible to support or condone.
I was proud of the guy from the 82nd airborne that got spit on and did not spit back.
made the other guy and his cause look so stupid.
but since the 60's I cant understand why anyone protesting would personally attack a US servicemember.
we sign up and after that where we go and the duty we do is mostly beyond our control.
I may post about Jane Fonda if I settle down some.

It didn't take long after the Democrats took over the congress for the rest of the clowns to start marching. I belive in freedom of speech but this is just plain disgraceful

Re: peace march

I guess I missed that rally where the young republicans and the DAR lined up to spit on our servicemen. I suppose Newt organized it. d:)

Re: peace march

never said that. when I was young and my cousin came home on leave in 71 we picked him up at the airport. was 10. I will never forget nor forgive those that met us coming out of the airport.

ed was 6'2" and my dad was 6'3" Ed was 220 and my dad about 240. was all they could do to get us through the bunnies.
I support anyones right to protest however I support no ones right to violence. be it spitting or shooting.
ya wanna burn the flag? place a statue of Christ upside down in a jar of urine? yep I signed a contract saying I would protect YOUR rights to do it even though MY rights to do it had been suspended.
doesnt mean I agree nor like it. just means I signed up for it.
if ya dont like it write your congressman and amend the constitution. just be careful what you wish for as you may get it.

Re: peace march

Really reminded me of some of the hate parties of the 60's.

Got a good shock. Saw a woman I went to High School with spewing hate at a reporter. She has a son in the Army. I wonder if he saw her and how he felt about that.

dont it bring back bad memories?
I mean most of what I saw on TV, granted thats a fairly narrow view. was not a peace protest but a hate walk.
most the folks spewing have no clue.
and i still dont understand why the spit at servicemen both active duty and retired. its us that insured they have the right to march.
I guess its kinda like the ninjit at the 7-11 a few years back.
he was getting pushy trying to sell me yellow ribbons when all I wanted was a pack of cowboy killers in the box.
he finally sneered and asked if I did not support the troops.
I laid my disability retired navy ID on the counter and said here is my ribbon where is yours?
he shut up and I got my burros and retreated back to my woods.
so it can go both ways, I just find it particularly disgusting.

Re: peace march

Rodbolt, I agree with ya, it was a disgusting display of hate. I would have thought a peace march would have been, uh, peaceful? Now there is a thought! Why the disgusting, pornographic banners? Why the spitting on other human beings? Why the hate filled slogans? And why would you bring out Jane Fonda? These things just killed their "cause."

Yep, they have "The Right" to protest. And you that served our country gave them that right, and I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for that service. However, just because you have "The Right", doesn't make it RIGHT!

A lot of "no class" was exhibited.

Re: peace march

Well, if there is an upside it just proves that Americans have the right to be just as stupid and obnoxious as they wish.

Didn't we all sort of expect this when they rolled out Jane Fonda as their poster girl?

Re: peace march

July 1969.. Got off the freedom Bird in San Francisco and was instantly spit on and called a baby killer. Nothing new there. Some things will never change. Same stuff just a different generation.

Need ta send some of those folks over and let them see what real life is all about.

I put this all behind me many years ago just to see an instant replay in 2007..

I know you didn't axe me, Rodolt, but yes, it does bring back the old visions of hate disquised as peace. "four dead in Ohio" and televised "revolution" courtesy of Walter cronkite and crew.
I had to turn the news off when I saw hanoi jane up there. I had no desire to hear her disgusting, shrill voice again.

I can't seem to find anything about it for this last "peace march". I guess he's talking about the 70's. Still a disgusting, cowardly chicken **it thing to do. I hope it doesn't happen now, but if it does, I hope I'm there!! I won't have the restaint of some :|:|:|

Re: peace march

I don't suppose I have to remind you all that this comes compliments of the party of PW, Rolmops, CJY, BluLunch, et al.

It is basically the core of their party and it's pretty hard to distance themselves from this while continuing to support the rest of the lunacy of the Left.

Re: peace march

Crunch, in order to do that they would need principals. Maybe even a core belief. With that said, don't worry about the funding. Besides I just found out today that actually Harry Reid is in charge. I can sleep tonight. :%
