Pointer, One reason I been trying to stay away from going head to head with you is because of all the iboat members I've never someone that can make so many misstatement in one single post, then I spend way too much time correcting you. But here we go again.

Pointer said,
"Your response to everything, that bad behavior can be excused by others bad behavior becomes tedious."

Now that's funny! In the psychological circles they call this "reflection", you accuse someone else of something your the king of. You my friend have a long history of this.

Pointer said,

" It took the republicans years to have their arrogance and perhaps corruption exposed. Maybe they were just better at hiding it but it has taken litteraly hours for the dems to match them."

Another funny one! Your stealing this quote from the dems attributing it to the repubs. I think the original quote went something like "it took the dems 40yrs for their arrogance and corruption to catch up to them, the repubs did in 12yr what it took the dems 40yrs to accomplish. The voters had enough and kick them out of office".

Pointer said,

" This thread is about Lil' Nancy lining her pockets on the backs of the little people by using the power of her position."

Yet another funny one Pointer, how much money has Nancy made to date on this bill? Last I checked the minimum wage bill hasn't even passed the Senate yet. Secondly, how many years has Nancy's husband owned this stock? The way your talking, it sounds like she had this elaborate conspiracy going to not allow a wage increase and buy a bunch of stock. This stock was more than likely a long term investment that her husband has held for many years. Thirdly, once it was brought to the Democratic leaderships attentions it looks like the will now include the island of Samoa for a minimum wage increase. Sounds like much ado about nothing.

Pointer said,

"Your first step isn't to acknoledge corruption, or even to deny corruption, but to excuse or mitigate corruption."

There you go again, yet another funny one. Please give me a specific quote from me as to why you would make such a charge? Again Samoa will be included in the minimum wage bill. Secondly, on the island of Saipan we're dealing with prostitution, forced abortions and the violation of child labor laws. Now tell me what specific laws Nancy Pelosi violated?

Pointer wrote,

"If you want to never respond but use a scattergun accusation approach, don't be surprised if someone tries to bring you back on point."

Talk about tedious, another funny one. Your use of the word "scattergun" would imply that I made multiple accusation. The truth is I pointed out one set of facts, not an accusation, but facts. You republicans had control of the house for 12yrs and no minimum wage bill. I listen to conservative talk radio and the rail against raising the minimum wage and the callers call in and tell us how a Happy Meal will cost $10 and a head of lettuce will cost $5 if the minimum wage goes up. Now your crying because the some small south Pacific island wasn't included? Sorry you right wingers lose all validity on this issue.

Wheeewww! And that was just your first paragraph. I'm done. Going to finish watching football.8)

No I don't get the connection (read the quote below). Are you trying to say Pelosi or some other dem added an amendment to exclude Samoa? Looks like they already had an exemption from the federal minimum wage, Pelosi didn't do anything. You right wingers are desperate for a democratic scandal!

The following quote is from 12footers link, Powerline.

"American Samoa already had one of the last remaining exceptions to the federal minimum wage in place. The minimum wage there is determined by a panel of industry leaders, and is about $3.30 an hour for most people who work in a tuna cannery "

Now I seriously need to crack open a beer and watch this New England/San Diego game.

And it didn't take long did it?
If it wasn't a "problem" for the dems, why the back pedal to get it added to the bill? I'm lovin it!! and all this in the first couple of weeks. The next couple of years are going to be fun!!

Did you ever think that maybe they were not aware of this loop hole involving Samoa? Unless you can prove intent you have nothing, your spitting in the wind.

I have been known to forget most of my 17 million dollar investments. Anyone here not know where thirty percent of their assets are currently located and occasionally check how these assets/investments are doing?

She is raising the children and running the country. Oh, glory. :}

That is just about the stupidest argument I've ever seen, or are you saying she is so incompetent that she wasn't aware of the ramifications of bill sitting right in front of her?.... you know, the one she was voting on.

What next? She didn’t know that cutting off funds for the war would make us lose that war? The new tax law that penalizes the rich has a clause in it that exempts her income?... and BTW, doesn’t constitute a tax increase like they promised they wouldn’t do?

Can you think of one promise the Democrats made pre-election that they haven’t already broken, or laid the ground work to break?

I know you want hamstring me with boundaries on what I can talk about, but precedent has been set. I think you know QC, that this is a no brainer. Let me give you a couple examples that come off the top of my head. We have Bill Friest voting health care issues when he and his family owns one of the biggest HMOs in the country. Then he lied about his shares being in a trust and not having access to his account. And I'm sure you all remember Anthony Scalia going on a duck hunting trip with Cheny just weeks before hearing a case involving the Vice Presidents office.

Also, are you righties trying to tell me that anyone who owns stocks in business cannot vote on a minimum wage bill because of a conflict of interest. If that's the case than we couldn't have a vote, which is probably what the right wingers would like when it comes to the minimum wage anyway.

Oh come on Custom what does that have to do with Polosi and Samoa? We have to strictly stick to the issue.

Re: Pelosi doesn't want tuna with good taste....

Okay, So we have no proof of Pelosi deliberately doing anything illegal. We found out the original accusation of this thread was a lie. For those of you that have short term memory loss I'll refresh your memory. Pelosi was accused of adding an amendment excluding Samoa for a minimum wage increase. And as usual not knowing the truth, the right wingers pounced all over this. Now we find out Samoa had an long standing exemption from the minimum wage. But some how Pelosi was supposed to be aware of this.

Ya know I got to laugh at you right wingers, when it come to possible liberal transgretions you are the biggest cynics, but when it come to possible conservative transgretions you guys are as naive as Cindy Lou Who walking down the stairs on Christmas morning.

Ya know I can't even joke with you righties it goes right over your heads. That comment was in response to QC's instructions to keep this strictly on Mrs Pelosi.
