Penta Cooling Hose

I have a 2005 Four Winns Horizon 210 with a Volvo Penta V-8. The small diameter water hose behind the distributor has broken and flew off in the engine compartment somewhere. The clamp and part of the hose is on the "T" connection behind the distributor and it appears that there is a threaded connection where the other end should attach, but not sure. Anyone out there have any knowledge about this problem?
Thanks.

Howdy
Need more info on what motor you have GL, GXI etc, and the cooling system?
If you have a serial number this would help
Does it have closed cooling and post some pics of what your dealing with

The serial number of the engine is 40212136476. The model # is 5.0GL-E. It is a raw water cooling system picking up water from the lower unit. The picture attached is a picture of what's lift of the hose. I think it may be 3/8. I don't think the other is a threaded connection. The hose part # is3862543. I'm told it goes to the power steering cooling pump. I cannot find the pump or where the other end of the broken hose is. I need a picture of the unit or an explanation about where it is located.
Thanks very much!

I don't think it is just a cap. I have made a dotted line around the water hose shown on the image. It goes from the number 13 "T" fitting up to the pump that is circled. That is the pump that I need to find out the location of. I'm pretty sure that is the power steering cooling pump. What do you thinks?

What’s circled in the drawing is a tee, hose and “exhaust manifold thermostat” for a catalyzed motor. I’ll check the serial number later this morning. Considering the posted year and product description, 5.0GL-E, this is the wrong drawing because this isn’t a catalyzed motor.

I think it is located somewhere on the back of the engine starboard side. There is such a tangle of wires and hydraulic stuff for the steering, and the view is so limited I have not found it. I'm thinking of taking the entire cover off the dang thing but that might still not improve the vision of it as the engine is stuck so far back. I've been trying to find a picture or diagram of it but it must not exist. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

We’ll be able to get a drawing once we I.D. the motor and shield. The posted serial number, 40212136476, isn’t valid. Please double check and also post a picture of what you’re looking at with the camera pulled back so what’s around it can be identified. Thank you. (P.S. The cover comes right off; suggest doing so to get a better view and access.)

Attached is a picture of the seawater pump, etc. for a 5.0GL-E. Whether this is a 5.0GL-E is unconfirmed. Please look at No. 18… it’s a cap. See Post No. 5 by @alldodge.

That looks like a power steering coolant line that ruptured. Did you loose power steering fluid when it ruptured, an oily mess?. the other end should terminate at the power steering pump. Pull the hose from the pump and disconnect there. then go to an auto parts store and buy a replacement. You will probably need to replentish the power steering fluid also.

Depends on which side of the HX/cooler the “nub” is. Need a picture that’s not so close. If P/S, there’s a hose flopping around back there. Go to the back of the P/S pump and follow the top hose, which is rubber (the lower is rigid). If loose and “free/not connected” on the other end, yep. If not, it’s the cap on the opposite side of the HX/cooler. Picture looks like the cap. Hard to say until a new picture is available.

OK. Thanks. I have attached a picture of the label on the right valve cover of the I.D. on the engine. Also another picture of the nub a little further back.
Thanks very much!

Thank you. 5.0GL-E is confirmed. The second picture is, unfortunately, blurry. Put your hand around the back side of the HX/cooler opposite where the broken “nub” is. If there’s a hose attached back there, what broke is No. 18. If a cap and clamp, then it’s the P/S hose (part number 3852839).

Here are three more pics. One is of the broken piece of hose that came off the nub. I have searched for the other end of the hose and cannot find it. That's why I thought if I knew the placement of cooling pump I might be better abler to find it.
Thanks.

Power steering pump. Right front of motor, just below centerline. Can also just put your hand on the other side of the HX/cooler. If going from the P/S pump, remember it’s the top hose on the rear (see Post No. 13).

P.S. The three new pictures weren’t attached.

OK, thanks! I checked the power steering pump and both the hoses coming out of it are hydraulic hoses. When I put the water hose on the Engine Raw Water Flush fitting the water was running out of the nub where the hose is broke off of at the back of the engine. There is no hydraulic fluid leak. Thanks again!
