What’s circled in the drawing is a tee, hose and “exhaust manifold thermostat” for a catalyzed motor. I’ll check the serial number later this morning. Considering the posted year and product description, 5.0GL-E, this is the wrong drawing because this isn’t a catalyzed motor.
We’ll be able to get a drawing once we I.D. the motor and shield. The posted serial number, 40212136476, isn’t valid. Please double check and also post a picture of what you’re looking at with the camera pulled back so what’s around it can be identified. Thank you. (P.S. Attached is a picture of the seawater pump, etc. for a 5.0GL-E. Whether this is a 5.0GL-E is unconfirmed. Please look at No. 18… it’s a cap. See Post No. 5 by @alldodge.
Depends on which side of the HX/cooler the “nub” is. Need a picture that’s not so close. If P/S, there’s a hose flopping around back there. Go to the back of the P/S pump and follow the top hose, which is rubber (the lower is rigid). If loose and “free/not connected” on the other end, yep. If not, it’s the cap on the opposite side of the HX/cooler. Picture looks like the cap. Hard to say until a new picture is available.
Thank you. 5.0GL-E is confirmed. The second picture is, unfortunately, blurry. Put your hand around the back side of the HX/cooler opposite where the broken “nub” is. If there’s a hose attached back there, what broke is No. 18. If a cap and clamp, then it’s the P/S hose (part number 3852839).
Power steering pump. Right front of motor, just below centerline. Can also just put your hand on the other side of the HX/cooler. If going from the P/S pump, remember it’s the top hose on the rear (see Post No. 13).
