In my last post I had raised the motor one more hole and put the ventalation plate 1 & 1/2 " above the bottom.Heres the specs:
1972 Glastron Carlson CV 16, 72 100 HP Johnnie 13x21 Raker
Ran it today and got the following results:
WOT Trimmed out 5500 rpms
Speedo read alittle over 54 mph GPS bounced between 49.5 & 50 mph.
Temp read normal just like it always has
Boat was very stable.. chinewalking is gone
Holeshot is good enough I don't think I will drill the prop.
This was with me and my wife and a cooler of drinks, about the way the boat will be loaded most of the time.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Russ In Texas

Sounds good. You got your speed up, and the rpm's, and improved handling.
Time to go boating. :)

Sounds good. Youre headed in the right direction. Now we need a water pressure reading. And you need to watch it. As you go up youll tend to suck air into the cooling system. As the air bubbles hit the system the pressure gauge will fluxuate or bounce. We dont need air in the cooling water.

We can run the slip percentage for you but we need to know what prop you have. Rakers for your motor are 13 1/2" diameter and run in even number pitches.

Bet you can go higher.

Boy DH you don't miss a thing. The Raker I'm running is indeed 13 & 1/2 x20. Water pressure gauge is next on the list. I want to run the boat with me in it by myself before I do anything else. Hmmmmmm...more testing..darn!:)

Russ In Texas

Get all you can outta that Raker (great prop) and then test a Turbo Lightning Jr 13.5x20. You'll be totally amazed!
