Yeah, so have I, get over it. Just because the person is a mod, doesn't mean they don't have an opinon on a subject or person. Aren't you the one who say's that people should be able to say what they want (hollywood folks) without being critzised? But you want to silence some, it wold seem.

See ya

Not sure what happened rodbolt or from whom, but there are DHs everywhere. I for one respect you and your experiences, even those that lead us to dissagreement. Stick around, send a PM, get it off your chest and chill.

I second that...I know so little about boats and outboards it's scary. Wonder if they could "split up" you post count to each topic..Outboards..restoration..DC...

I just found the offense, rodbolt. Pretty mild. I used to terrorize anybody who claimed that L.A. sucks with "Why are you here then?" continually. That's not a personal attack, it is a reminder that you're here because there is a reason to be . . .

I would not leave either rodbolt. Regardless of what others think, I appreciate your opinion. And I am sure you have helped countless boaters.

I believe the same mod threatened Zmoz with bodily harm. I believe we are talking about the same mod here, rodbolt, correct me if I am wrong though. Either way, I should have never allowed the quotes below to slide by without calling some attention to them.

The following quotes came from "The Police(nazi) state I live in..."

DWJ said:

"Sorry to disappoint, but the word does not bring a favorable reaction in most people. If you call me that, to my face, regardless of your meaning, you will end up seriously hurt."

Not only did DWJ threaten, he continued picking the fight even after Zmoz took the high road and ignored the childish threat.

"I see that you pick your quotes-carefully."

I agree, mods have opinions too, but when they take their authority to an unintended level, something has to be done. Some people cannot handle the responsibility of being an authority figure. You know, it makes their head swell. "Swell", appropriate for a boating forum, I believe.

Well, I told my mom, and she told me if he parks his tricycle in my neighborhood, I am allowed to tip it over.

I agree with CJY. I don't think there is any problem with "moderators" attacking anybody, just "moderator". Not just once or twice or three times either. The purpose of a moderator is to keep a place like this clean and happy, and set an example for everyone else.

Have you ever seen JB attack anyone? He's certainly as opinionated as anyone else...

Re: personal attacks by moderators

Agrees with QC. I saw no personal attack.

Perhaps all of the inuendos that have come from the OP over time have taken their toll. It's like i always told both of my boys when they lived here... if there was something they didn't like and thought the grass was greener elsewhere... then just get up and go. Was nothing personal in that, just the way it is.

Just be aware Rod, your bitterness will follow you where ever you go. It will also affect your health. I'd try to find a way to get over it before it kills you.

Typical whining lib BS... CJY should be the last person sniveling about personal attacks.

Now how is that a personal attack?... did he reach through your monitor a slap you up side the head?.... No? He used that as an example of how a lot of people would react if you called them a Nazi, nothing more.

I've read just about every word written on this forum in the last 4 months, but I've never seen DWJ threaten anyone... insult? yes, threaten, no.

Maybe you guys should find a forum where everyone makes nice and everyone agrees with you, then you wouldn't get your little feelers hurt.

Re: personal attacks by moderators

Custom, when is the last time I "sniveled" regarding a personal attack. It was you sniveling earlier today.

And I quote you;

"When you have something to say, I'll listen. Until then, take your personal attacks and stuff them where the sun don't shine."

That is what happens when you respond for no other reason than to hear yourself talk. You forget all that you have said.

Did you even read the quote? He said, "if you say that to my face, you will end up seriously hurt." That is not an insult nor a personal attack, that is a threat.

Custom, you also said in regard to the bold quote above;

"Now how is that a personal attack?... did he reach through your monitor a slap you up side the head?"

Personal attack? Where did I say that? I said "THREAT," not assault or personal attack. Please learn the difference between them. Also, at least read what you respond to. OOOps, I forgot, that is not your priority. Your priority, respond first, think later.

He did not use an example of how "people" would react. His response was in direct relationship to how he would react. His quote, "If you call me that, to my face, regardless of your meaning, you will end up seriously hurt." He did not say "people."

Before you say that you did not say "assault'" as a way to defend yourself. Let me say, "reaching through a monitor to slap a person," would be considered assault.

Start digging faster Custom. Do you always respond without thought? Why is it every time I respond to you I feel like I just argued with a 6 year old? Remember, keep that thick skin you speak so highly of.

Being that he is a mod leads one to assume (whether true or not) that he has access to your personal information. This means that one could percieve a threat to be real. Why do I feel a deja-vu?

Which thread and which mod? Be more fun if you stick around but if you aren't enjoying yourself, I understand.

Re: personal attacks by moderators

Whether you think DJ's posts are attacks or not, they most certainly are almost always whining, complaining, arguementative, combative, or otherwise negative. Many times he posts for no other reason that to start an arguement. That is the worst example a moderator could possibly set. I would quote a bunch of examples but I have more important things to do...
