Re: physical pain
Everyone has a different threshold.

I can't disagree with JB. Kidney stones or other urinary tract malodies are EXTEMELY painfull to men. Women too, they just don't seem to be as prevalent.

I've had some dandies.

1. Four "impacted" wisdom teeth cut, drilled broken out with very limited local pain killer. Next day, on a tractor-spitting blood. I got over it. I hate dentists-to this day. Sadist *&^%$()'s

2. Broken thumb (right hand on right handed person-me) with NO medical attention. In college-embarrassed-don't want to alarm parents. Used typewriter.

3. Bent back (broken) knee. "Popped" the kneecap and tore some ligiments-I'm sure. No medical attention needed other than the emergency room doctor to say-WHOA!. Took about three months, as a young man, to heal. Again-college. The doctors, today, say it's a "mess". Works OK for me.

As of late.

4. Drilled into the thumb, to the bone (with a 3/8" bit). What a mess. No medical attention. It's pretty much healed. Thank goodness it was the left hand-this time.

Pain, IMHO is a "state of mind". I can look at my own wounds, all day. Show me a wound from someone I love and I get angry. "Why can't it be me"?

As you might have gathered, I DO NOT like doctors, nurses, dentists. They're all sadists, IMHO.

I've had several more dental procedures done. No gas, nor "knock out". No-you've got to suffer. I hate them.

I can't figure out why they won't put me under, they just say-"NO". I think, since I'm a big guy, it would cost them too much.

OK, doc, how about I come in "half baked", myself?
