I suppose marine tex is exothermic, so when you spread it thin, it takes longer to cure because the heat can't build up. Direct heat on those spots would speed up the curing process methinks.
man john dont worry about it.. at least your out there on it.. ive been at a stand still for 2 months.. boat has some ice in it.. . gotta get the cap going.. trailer needs some paint.. .. but your doing good with it.. too bad you live so far i would be there everyday helpin lol but i think penny does a good job..
i agree with red tho. do something like a propane heater in the direction of it
well, i finished reading the entire thread John. Again, very informative! Thanks for putting all the detail into it.
BTW, you could have informed me I was coming home to 10 degree weather! We landed in Flint a couple hours ago. Time to get started tearing my boat apart. It seems so far removed from where you are at, lol. I hope you and F-14 can guide me well!
It's almost spring, it's almost spring, it's almost spring
HAHAHAHAHA Didnt you get any snow up there today ?? we got about 4 inchs here !!!
Where you been buddie ?? John
I almost spun off of I-75 three times driving from Midland to Zilwaukee this evening! lol!
oh it has been a white out sence around 1 p.m. but i just keep telling my self it's almost spring![]()
I aready have my first camping trip planned
My tarp is already ripped to shreds! No more blue tarps!@#$*#$(@
Are you kidding me? Spring isn't coming, it's a perpetual winter! I spent a few hours on Friday going down to Savage ( 35 miles south of my shop, 80 miles south of my house ), to pick up a sectional sofa from craigslist, only to be told someone else was getting it before I had gotten there. That pissed me off, but it was worse because of the snow, it was a real pain to drive my truck, sans topper...so less weight for traction. I ended up making a parallel trip to Eagan and got a coffee table with one of the tops that lifts up for eating at ( been looking for one cheap for years ), so it wasn't all bad...but the weather sucks! We got 4-5 inches. So much for those 40 degree days!
Man, I'm itching to get itching! I really want the warm weather, I want to start my own thread with progress on my boat! It's dumb too, I've got a torpedo heater...it just doesn't heat up the whole back yard!![]()
