Man I hope my 2nd (&3rd??) coats of Rusto look as good..
I only have 1 down so far on my tin can....

I'd guess if you dont have too much humidity or dampness in the air painting tonight is cool...

Thanks there kev, Yea I am Petty pleased !! the humidity is down to just over 50 % so I am going to hit it , I was just out there and she is dry !! I am going to give it another hour !!! so number four tonight !!! John

If one hoodie suit is going to be enough, or 2 at the most, then I'll just buy a couple locally and be done with it....I have to help my brother move on Sunday...if I get lucky, I'll finally get on my boat on Monday if I don't find or get the time to do it before then.

Neither can I! I have said something very similar for every week for a few months now!

It has been unusually warm here for a few days (80's last Sat.) but I can deal with the heat a lot more than the cold. Was out on Seymour Lake in Morgan Vermont saturday- was cold when the wind luffed (water is still like 40 degrees) but it was like feeling the flow from a forced-air furnace when the breeze picked up again. Nice. But was 30 degrees last night

I so hope it's not a cool wet summer. Sometimes Vermont weather stinks- too cloudy.

Hi all

well I was trying to get to the red today but didn't make it !! what else is new !!! LOL the white Is like glass where we hit !! And that is where I have to tape !! We got it all sanded where we got to tape her for the red !! Then when she IS all Painted I am going to sand her one last time !!!

So get her taped up tomorrow and wait for the weather , is supposed to rain for the next two day !!!$$#$%^^&$#@#@@$$$ lol so it dont look like red till sat !!!

MAN When I whip her down and she is all wet , its like looking in a mirror !!! I will get some pics tomorrow !! John

I got the day of due to lack of work, AND I don't have to help my brother move this weekend! I might actually get something done! Supposed to be crappy weather tomorrow ( rained most of the day today), but I might get out and pick up some more supplies and go make "vroom vroom" noises in my boat and take some 2009 unveiling pictures ( more of the same )

Ok all lets start with the white , It really is turning out sharp !! Once you get past the orange peel it just shines !!! it shines before you take the orange peel but now Its really Petty !!!!!! Was thinking yesterday if this is semi gloss Man that red is really going to POP !! more on that in a Bite !!

The white really cover well after the fourth coat !! I would recommend it !!! Ok heres some pic's I took this morning before the red !!

if you look on the very top of her you can really see the shine !!!

Ok here's the Best part !! the red . well rust-oleum should call it Blood Red !! She sure is Red !! I like it, And I was right yesterday . it all ready POPS just with one coat , the reflection in it after one coat is just awesome !!!!!!!! Ok here's some pics !!


This frist one I just can't get over !! I swear guys , this is just the frist coat !!!

In this next one you can see the water bottle that i use to wet sand in the reflection !!! this is just too cool !! LOL

this one is just the light in her !!

and this one is the hole thing !! can any one guess what her Name is going to Be ?????

Boy, that red is fantastic John! All that work is finally paying off! Man, I'm just trying to keep things fixed around here and up to snuff so that I can justify taking the time to start on my boat. I've promised myself that I WILL get the transom and stringers done THIS SUMMER. Gonna be a tough run to get it done, but I think once I start and get into the groove, progress will be quick.

You going with 4 coats of red also John?
