My brother and me paid 800.00 and did about a day's work and walked away with a 1975 19'6" Aquasport and 97 aluminum I beam tandem trailer. .

The outboard turned out to be shot in one cylinder and my brother bought a new F90 Yamaha for it.

It had one bad spot in the floor, that we repaired. The transom is damp in some places, but no rot that I can tell. We will dry that out and use this:

http://www.rotdoctor.com/products/cpes.html

There are some blisters all about below the water line. I have tried to break a few open and they won't break. I sanded into one until it was flush to the hull and I never could get break open. Not sure of the cause. The boat came out of Florida and the hull is stained from tannin sp?, from the water it might have been in.

Checked out the stringers and foam. About 40% of the foam in the boat was holding water and we remove that and replaced. The stringers are foam filled fiberglass and are dry.

All in all we got a good old Classic, now comes the fun part, sanding and painting and new hardware. It will be a fun project with a big payoff.
