History.Motor sat 5yrs(winterized).Mechanic had it running after imeller change, new gas within 10sec. first turn of the key.I run marine stabil.Have used it 3 times.Doesnt miss, not very hard to cold start, turns 6,000rpms(have new prop to drop to 5500 to install before next outing). The only issue is that it dies if i come off WOT too quickly.I have to raise fast idle lever to restart, but then fires right up.Shut off fish, turn key and go again. If I "feather"it down off WOT,no issues. So,the question.I know lean condition is BAD.Am i at risk?do I need to pull carbs and clean(i cant and mech. wants $100/carb just to clean)or would a true lean condition be more noticable than my one issue? also,at my mechanics shop rate of $45/hr,does $100/carb to clean only sound fair?sorry, but moneys tight at the moment.I will get done if advised, though.thanks all.
