Hi:
1989 90hp Evinrude.
I used a punch to pry out pocket core plugs. In one pocket the punch slip ever so slightly into one of the holes that allows gas to enter throat. It took out a little nick from inside the pocket core, and not all the way thru. I took a small file and smoothed up the nick. Would this have anything to do with the motor not getting enough fuel when I go to throttle it up in the water? It seems to run on trailer with muffs just fine even when I give it throttle. Fuel pump is working fine and no leaks.
Thanks,
Lee
