Re: portable head
Those are some reasons why not to swim in the water plus it makes me think twice about eating the fish I catch. I know there is hefty fines if one gets busted.
hum, can't remember where i read it, i think during a near flood over on the missouri river last year or the year before. but the city of omaha dumps a certain percentage of raw waste from the whole city right into the river. i've got a number in mind, but unsubstantiated so won't say it.. but will say i remember a 2 digit number.
while i agree in principle about not rinsing overboard. i bet it happens more often than not. on the lake i go to boat at, a boat with a portapoti or head are few and in between.. i wonder where it all goes.... into the lake i'd guess... myself, i won't eat fish out of the lake either. they've been contaminated with chemicals from other sources i think... at least that's what usually gets printed in the paper about every year as a caution for eating fish out of the local lakes.
drknute3, sounds to me like the 5gal. bucket with a trashcan liner would be ticket to me. about the right size to sit on too.... the bucket could also be used as storage perhaps when not in emergency use...
