Whats the best way to post pictures without having to use one of the heavily advertised sites that are jumping ads all over the place.

Thanks for the reply

Re: Posting Pics

I use photobucket.....

Keep in mind once you post a photo it is going out into the public domain and you basically have no control of what happens to it.

Good luck

Look at the top 3 posts in this section ;)

Re: Posting Pics

the manage attachments button on the page you use to write a reply allows you to upload files. that's probably the most direct method....i don't like it though cause then people have to be logged in to see the pics, viewers have to click on them too

i use photobucket too

Re: Posting Pics

Thanks a million for the info, I talked to one of our techs today and he suggested another site. The only reason I'm leery of bucket is I hate the moving images they have while your viewing the pics.

Re: Posting Pics

If all I want to do is use a picture to illustrate something in one of these posts, let's say an example of a part for illustration purposes. I just find an image on on the web and right click on it to see the "properties" of the image which includes the location url for that particular image. I copy the complete url and then in my posting, I insert the url between these two commands

That will put the image right there:

If I have an image of my own (i.e. photo) that I'd like to use in my post, I upload it to tinypic.com. That site will then give you an url to point to that image:
http://tinypic.com/r/2hia3p0/3

and will also give you a cut and paste image command (like the one above) to actually insert it:

PHOTOS TOO LARGE. Please resize your photo to 640 x 480.
It is a size limit we adhere to to not harm our members on dial up.
PLEASE read the posting instructions above.

Les Robb Please feel free to post your practice here..... that's fine;)

At first glance I thought you had a toilet seat in there.

Wow wish I had thought of that, now I have a multi purpose bait tank in case of an emergency. Do you think the bait fish would mind.

Safe boating ya'll
