So what you're saying is, the power tilt motor works, you can hear it run? But it does not raise the motor.

You attempted to fill with oil, , was it full already or did you not figure out how to fill it and you don't know if it has enough oil in it or not?

The oil seems to be contaminated after filling the reservoir, It was working fine before that . Now it won't raise. It also seems to be full. I do not see any leaks. I would now go to the next step disassemble. However I'm not convince it needs repair.

My first guess is an air pocket ............ contaminated oil not good. Drain, refill and get the air out and it might start working again properly.

You might get much better help if you posted your issue in the YAMAHA forum.

Good news!! Did you know that there is a "release" screw on the port side close to the hull that you can loosen and raise the motor manually and tighten screw when motor is fully raised. This would make the filling process easier and give you max capacity in resevoir.Charlie
