Re: President Announces Exit Strategy
I am OK as long as we (normal humans) don't get mad enough to open the doors for the Dems to mess it up even worse . . . I support W completely for two reasons:
1) He gets it and
2) He is not the other guys (and gals) who don't . . .
Yeah QC, if the choice was possible I'd still have to vote for Bush over any democrat that will be running in '08.
With that said please allow me to be a little more critical.
Mine is a very short list of what I see as accomplishments of this two term administration.
1. I like the two confirmed Supreme Court judicials that he appointed.
I used to like the way he talked right after 9/11.
And when he warns N. Korea that there will "dire consequences" if they proceed with their nuclear program and missle testing. And when he says the same thing to Iran.
But now I think it's turned into mere lip service that damages our national security.
A lot of people here blame the democrats for almost all of the administrations failures. Sadly I think they are only savvy to what has been handed to them politically on most important issues.
It took a lot of incompetence to squander the amount of support both domestically and internationally this President had after 9/11.
War has the capability to make mediocre men great and great leaders indisputable. Incompetence during wartime leads to what we have now.
Additionally this administration has given conservatism a bad name or at least a misrepresented example of a conservative one.
The performance to this point will cost any
truely conservative candidate that may come along in the future.
This administration has taken off the table any of the long standing traditional conservative platforms the Republicans might get elected on.
The President's exit strategy leaves behind a mess no matter when or where.
