If you could nominate one individual, past, present, or future, for the next Presidential Election, who would it be and why?

Yea Condie would be good, but I don't think that the people feel it's time for a woman President.

Also thought that Colin Powell would have made a good one.

Anybody? Margaret Thatcher.

Any American? Teddy Roosevelt

Any living American? Stormin' Norman Schwartzkopf.

Any American likely to run? John McCain

Why a RINO? Because I am sick and tired of partisan division and I think McCain would come closest to uniting us.

Re: Presidential Election 2008

Powell, then maybe McCain. Rice is a meat sac, not worthy of the office. That whole clan cannot get any more nefarious if they tried. Powell didn't shoot himself in the foot, he saw the writing on the wall and divorced himself from the happy bunch before he could get lumped in with them. Very wise....

It would be fun to have Hillary just to see what Slick Willy would do as the First Man. Future interns apply at www.stainedmedress.org/cigarfest2008

You don't want anything political to unite. That partisanism is what makes our political system work. Without it, a bipartisan gvt emerges, a gvt that represents no one’s interest except its own. Kind of like where we are now.

My choice: Alan Keyes.

JB,

Unite us on what?

I am torn between Thomas Jefferson and George W. Bush (and I am not a huge GWB fan). I am serious. What we are doing in Iraq is not only good, it is great. For any of you to believe that the Iraqi people are better off under a brutal dictator is incredible. Apparently GWB is the only one who understands that  Is anybody here aware that GWB is a hero among Americans from Iraq? Yes, I said Hero. I can back it up . . . Who here is willing to stand up and say that the Iraqi people do not deserve and want the freedom that we all know and love?

At least there is one man in this country willing to bet his reputation and legacy on it. Rant off.

Condi? The country needs a leader not a follower.
Hillary? Too much luggage, too much ego.
A shared McCain/Lieberman ticket? That one is worth praying for.
