Priming Bare Aluminum

I've read a lot on iBoats about using a Napa #7222 to prime bare aluminum. I found this today at HD. Is Cold Galvanizing Compound the same thing?? If so, I figured I'd be better off using it since I'm using Rustoleum paint also.

Nope,... That leaves a coating of galvanize on Steel... Helps slow Rusting...

Search the Rustoleum website,... They market an aluminum primer,+ HD can order it by part#...

zinc chromate primer which I've heard is available at Napa. It's green. A light dusting of the stuff is apparently all you need.

Thanks guys. I'll look into the Rusto product or else go with the Napa deal.
