Nope, .I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do =
you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly =
fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer =
be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches =
of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper =
identification, secret agents who are members of the President's =
security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of =
Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males =
between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling. Let's =
send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and =
other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to =
thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of themselves -- if they have =
any such sense. As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" =

I am not a racist, sexist, biggot or homophobe. I'm not ignorant, stupid or uneducated. But faced with similar circumstances, I would be nervous too especially if I had my family on board the plane. On 9/10/01 I wouldn't have been nervous. That's not my fault!! Here's where you say "How would you feel if you were in their shoes?" And I'd say, not good, but this is reality. In an age when extremists are willing to kill anything that moves and take themselves down with you, how are we to tell the difference?

As long as Muslims permit their religion to be hijacked by it's kook fringe, it should not be expected of me to be able to tell them apart.
Therefore, they are my enemy.

I have more reason than most of you to really ,really dislike moslem extremists.
Yet when I see a carefully selected list like the one above,I know that it is very easy to make another one in which for instance drunken drivers kill women and children and I can guarantee you you that not one drunken driver will be an extremist moslem.There is also the Son of Sam and Timothy McVeigh
I guess my point is that in a law abiding country like the USA,we really should not revert to racist profiling.

Every cop on the road has one.... it's the driver that weaves back and forth, and has no control of speed (up, down). The cop then pulls this "profiled" driver over and... etc.

Did you notice they were asked to leave the plane, refused, and had to be taken off by cops? I know if I was asked to leave By The Captain of an Aircraft, I get my hinny off before I was arrested, not after.

It is not at all magnanimous,it is more of an attempt to keep my own sanity and not start rolling down the slope toward racism ,bigotry and potential mob lynchings.I was pushed down there and I never want to go back there.
We pay twice for the crime of terrorism.First we are the victims and we have to fight back. Second,it threatens to drag our value system down to the level of the ones we fight.

When I was traveling extensively in the Middle East, I was always singled-out for a "Security Check" by the locals because I am light-complected. They didn't worry about it so why are we being so ridiculous about it here.

I am so damned sick and tired of people telling me about what is wrong with this country and spouting their Liberal drivel.

Why aren't we applauding what's good?

The airline was quite within it's rights to have the said passengers removed and be further screened by the security services, however afterwards the passengers should've been allowed to board an alternative flight to their destination.
The airline treated the passengers in an undignified manner, they may possibly have to make some form of restitution should the matter end up in court.

Restitution, give me a break. Why do you think these men were behaving the way they were in an airport anyway? These were educated men, they knew exactly what others' reactions would be and they did it anyway and then acted surprised when they were questioned. They were asking for suspicion and they got it. They know darn well this country is sensitive to that behaviour right now. Next time go to a private place and pray if you don't want people asking questions.
