I'm new to using forums so forgive any mistakes I might make. I've just gotten start on my new project. I'm wanting to make a crappie, bass, cat rig. As you see I'm starting with a blank slate. The boat is 13.5' long w\ 54" beam. It has a few small leaks in the seams near the rear, as well as several rivets. I've got a 3hp 1954 JW-10 Johnson Seahorse that runs great to power the old girl. I would however, like to reseal the lower unit (beginning to get milky). Does anyone know where I can get a seal kit for the lower unit? And is that a project that is easily done by a novice? I have been able to find an impeller, which I would also like to replace. I would like to keep "Oldschool" very light and functional. I will use it mostly on St. Mary's lake in Ohio, with the occassional night fishing outing. So with all that being said, and all winter to work on her, I need a few ideas if anyone could help.
