Nothing Fiat about the powertrain. its a 5.3 liter LS4 with 243 heads coupled to my spare solstice GXP AR5 by changing the bell housing from a jeep V6 / AX5 trans (GM 60 degree pattern) and 1984 Corvette IFS/IRSI had a fiat Strada back in the 80's what led you to use a fiat powertrain?

if you have a choice between the drum sander and belt sander from your local rental house......get the belt sander. it is about 40# lighter, however does a better job. the drum sander leaves drum-width divots if you stop moving for a second..... plus its really hard to lift that heavy thing from the passenger seat of the convertible.Gives me hope. That's on the "sooner than later" list here.
First time I did this had no choice but to transport the sander in my boxster. Needed to remove the seat to fit it, knowing I'd trip the airbag light . Cost me $50 to have it reset. I've found that unless the floors are really trashed the oscillating square buffer does a great job and keeps you from having to get into the edges (worst part imo)if you have a choice between the drum sander and belt sander from your local rental house......get the belt sander. it is about 40# lighter, however does a better job. the drum sander leaves drum-width divots if you stop moving for a second..... plus its really hard to lift that heavy thing from the passenger seat of the convertible.
I did hickory flooring because of our animals , that holds up pretty well but is an MF to work with from a hardness standpoint and moisture movementthe dogs already trashed the refinished floors....... an 80# old english sheep dog and the 52# bulldog/puggle mix like to wrestle throughout the house. they also broke one of the Admirals antique tables and the light that was on it.....
did the Admirals closet in hickory. had 400 board feet delivered, went thru 3 sets of planer blades. used 100% of the wood chips in the smoker for nearly every thing that I have been smoking for the past 15 months.I did hickory flooring because of our animals , that holds up pretty well but is an MF to work with from a hardness standpoint and moisture movement
i did 1400 sf of 3/4" solid x5" wide. The 5" wide has hard to fit tight like less wide flooring i have done in the past, hard enough that it was 50/50 chance of bending the nails when top nailing the last couple rows.... but it doesn't dentdid the Admirals closet in hickory. had 400 board feet delivered, went thru 3 sets of planer blades. used 100% of the wood chips in the smoker for nearly every thing that I have been smoking for the past 15 months.
No, and a planer cut edge is razor sharp.. but it doesn't dent
