A bit more progress......

4 steps forward, 1 step back

Adapter fits

Engine mount bracket design needs slight trimming

HTOB dimensions measures

Starter adapter plate needs some work as the LS4 block has some areas around the crank that were not shown on the LS3 block CAD model

you can not. it lasted at least 3 dozen car restorations and 4 boat restorations, some concrete grinding, and some really sketchy cut-off work while on a ladder 25 ft in the air.

I bought 2 sets of brushes. should outlast me.

I've been doing hardwood flooring (again). I did a bunch last year, now onto some more. This is wide-plank maple going into the bedrooms of the summer house. 2 down, 2 to go . . .

Have ya done any more with the fiat, just wondering how much time I need to allocate in order to see the finished product.

Great news. found the brinnelled bearing in the AR5 I pulled from the daily whip. so back to having a second trans for the Fiat project.

the OK news...... its a Toyota only Nachi bearing for the Aisin transmissions

the seal is a Toyota only NOK seal, however National Seal has a single interchange. this portion of the repair should be less than $100

still looking to get my hands on a new synchros

is that engineered? would assume solid wood doesn"t go that wide? 2-3 years ago I did 5" Hickory solid wood. Cam out real nice but the wide planks were much harder to get to fit really tight vs thinner width floor I had done in the past. IF you haven't bought a jamb cut off saw it is a great investment if you keep doing flooring.

I am trying to get the summer house more 'automated' to that when we are way things can be monitored.

I got the outside lights on automatic switches, along with a few of the inside lights on old-fashioned timers. I got the Ring doorbell and an Ecobee thermostat control. One thing that I have been missing is a water main monitoring system. I finally got the Moen Flo device installed . . .

I can monitor it from me cell phone, shut the water off/on as needed and set up alerts for unusual usage, leak detection, etc.

I felt a DIY install was not really in my wheelhouse, so I had a local plumber come and do it. The guy did a nice job with a by-pass line and a drain.
