I recently bought a 1990 Hydra-Sports 185 fih and ski with a johnson 150gt on it. I have got the engine running very well after some work. It has a SS Raker 22p by 14 1/2 prop on it now. The engine was up one hole when I got it and the prop would vent very badly when turning even trimmed all the way down. So i lowered the engine back down and that has helped with the handling. But the boat will not get up on the pad untill the engine is at full trim. The prop looks like the origanal that came with the boat. It has few nicks in it. Could the prop be bent? Is it worth bringing in to be repaired or should I just replace it? Also the boat does plane well and the wot rpms are around 5300 5400. This is my first boat with this large of a motor and that has a pad. So thanks for the help.
