Prop nut for Merc 25 hp?

While installing my prop realized too late that the nut was nylon. Looks like the part # is 11-88228. Any reason not to go with a regular brass nylock nut, and does anybody have a part # or size?

I wonder why the spec different nuts for different props? Anyway, I don't see a reason not to use the brass nut, if I can find an M12 x ? Nylock.

Might have something to do with the SS prop having greater mass, and thus more inertia,

Stainless + aluminum + copper alloy (brass) is a recipe for galvanic corrosion.
