My theory as to why turning the snout, or trim tab to the right as your facing it is, as the lower unit moves through the water, the snout acts like a little rudder, pushing the lower unit to the left, causing the boat to want to turn left some, Thus, it counteracts the clockwise turning prop torque (forcing it to the right), helping keep the boat straight, but at different speeds, or trim height conditions, this couteraction varies. I've found when you power down, or come off the throttle fast, the boat will momentarily pull to the left, due to this.
