i apologize for starting this up again but i now found the problem.
i have a 250a / sp Volvo penta I/O
i had a leaky recirculating pump. it had to be replaced.
found a marine pump for 400$ then after looking into it they had the same pump with same part #### by volvo for a car for 50$
part #271975
so i bought the 50$ and there is a 3/4 inch hole i have to cover (no problem) just like the old 1.
but also a small pressure release hole about 3 or 4 mm on the side of this pump as well.
i took the black plastic cap (1'') of the old one and was wondering if i should put it on the new one as well? it dosnt look like it really dose anything.
was buying this 1 a good idea?
no info on it in my manual at all.
to see picture of pump http://www.fcpgroton.com/volvo240heatingcooling.htm
or can i just close this hole myself. or do i leave it open? thanks guys, any help would be great.
thanks ....dug.
