I've got a Pyle 4-channel marine audio system (PLMRKT4A) installed in our travel trailer. Two speakers are outside. Two speakers are inside.
There is only one volume control for the whole system. The wife wants to be able to kill the inside speakers, but still have them playing outside.
I called Pyle Audio tech support. Both the operator and the technician I spoke with had very hard to understand broken English. I wasn't very confident that he understood what I was asking, which was basically could I disconnect two of the speakers without damaging the amplifier.
Although my engineering degree is covered with cob webs and a deep layer of dust, something is nagging at me regarding his answer that all I need to do is add a selector switch and just turn them off.
What do you audiophiles/techies/EEs think?
