1995 5.0L 305 V8 - RWC.

The plastic hose fitting for the manifold on the starboard snapped and left a good chunk of the plastic threads inside the manifold. My plan is to remove the manifold and riser to 1) inspect manifold and riser (its about time) and 2) remove plastic threads if I plan on re-installing the manifold and riser w/ new gaskets after cleaning, etc.

I see I have to remove the shift cables and shift plate to do this. Do the shift cables need to be re-adjusted after reinstallation?

Thanks,

In a word, Yes. In truth, If your careful and watch what your doing, I have removed the entire bracket as a single piece and reinstalled it with no adverse effects. Not saying its right, just that I've done it.

Same here. Removed as 1 piece and reinstalled with no problems. Just be carefull and tie it up out of the way.
