I was having problems with fuel dripping from the NEW fuel line and motor even when the line was disconnected from the motor end and the gas tank cap loosened to relieve pressure. I think the solution will be a quick connect at the TANK end so the whole fuel line can be disconnected. I think I have leaked more fuel now in the yard than the motor has used on the water. AARGH

Where exactly was the leak? Mating area of the connectors, rear of the connectors where the fuel line attaches. If new connectors and you mate them as designed they shouldn't leak or you need to get your money back. If leaking where the fuel line attaches, do you have the right size hose barb on the connector to fit the same size fuel line, or are you trying to get a larger fuel line to fit a smaller hose barb meaning it is a sloppy fit.....or do you have the same size barb and fuel line but didn't clamp the fuel line to the hose barb with a SS adjustable strap or an adequately sized and tensioned nylon Tye-wrap?

assuming it isnt a hose to nipple size issue like Texasmark inquired about.

what brand did you buy? OEM, or something like Attwood? New does not mean good or quality.

The last time I found it leaking there was a blueish foam all over the quick connect that was disconnected from the motor and just hanging in the well in front of the motor. This might have been from the clamp at the motor end but I'm going to start disconnecting it from the tank end too so it should slow down the amount of fuel that leaks after each use anyway.

Re: Quick fuel line connectors.

that still has not fixed your leak. if it leaks not connected to the engine, it will leak while connected. leaking fuel has a strong probability of becoming a boating statistic.

I found a REAL GAS LINE CLAMP at a service station garage and replaced the one on the end that was leaking. I tightened the quick connect at the threaded fitting to the hose. I am going to hook it up to the motor and squeeze bulb some pressure in to the hose and see if it leaks again.
