Re: Ramp ettiquete?

first thing i would do is inquire at the marina about who they belong to.

practical jokes are fine and all and can teach valuable lessons---but

WHAT IF the trailers are blocking the ramp for an important reason like need of repairs?

WHAT IF they belong to the marina and they play a joke on you and have your rig towed away while you are out fishing.

i have a 16.5' fiberglass boat with a 115 johnny and i move mine around in my yard without using a truck/car. just a trailer should be easy to move.

i would simply move them out of the way and if there isnt any other place to park them put them right back where they were after you get launched/loaded.

although the previous responses are hilarious it may come back to bite you...............you know karma........i guess what im trying to say is caution will robinson.

Maybe the ramp was closed for some reason and the marina did not want people launching there. (Although they probably would have placed a sign)

The owner/operator of the ramp propably know the real story.

the thing that really gets me is when im in my boat waiting out about 200-300 feet and some hot shot comes whizzing by and jumps right infront of the line

I always idle about 10 feet or so from the slow pull. Of course I have to rap the engine once in awhile to clear the carbon. A dry stacked Black Max snarls 'bout like a Doberman.

Fun to watch the reaction.

Better yet, stack the trailers on top of the car. One day when I was in college, I came out from gym class to find that my bycicle on top of the portico to the gym.

IF that happened here at our community ramp, they would have been moved and put in a ditch. Not by me mind you, I just happen to live in downtown redneckville.

"For Sale" " Two trailers, no title, Cheap!" Future 'home made' trailers for sale on Craigslist?

I'd be real tempted to just push them into the drink though, or at least drag them away somewhere.

I think it would've been hilarious to put a lock on the trailer and record them from a distance when they come back.

Yes, agreed! Or if they were locked, donate some superglue into the tumblers. In an extreme vengence case, I guess one could clean out all that yuckie grease with some local salt water.....

Folks I'm not usually driven to commit evil but rudeness and selfishness just blows my stack. I would have wrapped a chain around them babbies and re-located them!
