if u have3 nothing better to post please dont.

Hollering at someone because you don't like their opinion doesn't encourage anyone to help further.

4 tell rapido the engine is a mess

5 i told him about the prob from day one hes if the engine has problem he will replace it.

From this, it sounds like you've already decided it was a bum engine, hence the finger pointing comment.

My advice holds... run a leak down test (you put air pressure in each cylinder in turn with an air hose and listen for where it comes out). It'll tell you if there's a crack or pressure leak somewhere, and it's easy to do. Air coming out the carb when a cylinder is at TDC, then you have a stuck intake valve. If air comes out the exhaust, stuck exhaust valve. If it comes out the dipstick, then you have bad rings or a cracked piston. Air coming out the sides of the head, cracked head or bad head gasket.

Alternatively, do a compression test. This uses a $30 kit from your local car shop, and it's also easy. You take out all the spark plugs, ground the coil, and put the compression gauge on each cylinder in turn. You turn the engine over about 4 times with the key, and read the pressure each cylinder delivers, and they should all be close in numbers and above 110 PSI. If you have a cylinder that reads 0, there's a problem there.

I suggest these to check whether the valves are leaking or what, and to localize whatever problem you are having.

Re: rapido 5.7 break in update

I think everyone here understands your frustration about the problems you are having with the engine but cursing and making foul comments toward the people you asked for help from isn't going to make things any better. I personally don't see the problem here. You have been given some excellent suggestions to help you diagnose your problem but haven't chosen to do any of them. Furthermore, Rapido has already told you that they will take the engine back and swap it out so what is the problem? You can't get any better than that. A no questions asked return policy!!!!! Lighten up and accept the help everyone is trying to give you or am I the next person you will decide to go off on?

Re: rapido 5.7 break in update

I wish you luck and look forward to the test results, I hope you do not have to pull it, although I suppose the no questions asked return policy is great, I myself would be rather irritated with having to pull a "new" re-man motor out. I know stuff happens but still would really hurt my confidence in them as rebuilders.
As FYI, if you have Autozone auto parts in your town my local stores rent for free compression and leak-down testers (you just give deposit)

You must be slow because I posted that BEFORE your so called apology. As I stated then you would find someone else to rant at and you did. Furthermore, what does when I joined this forum have to do with anything. Stop crying!!!!!!!

How mature! Go and finish tearing your engine up. Maybe if you throw a big enough tantrum mommie and daddy will buy you another one. Definitely consider growing up.

oops foget to mention it only rattle at 1200 to 1400 rpm over that it kinda fade out, once rpm drop below 1200 the knock stop, engine oilpressure is over 40 at speed belo 20 after a long run, rev it up again the pressure goes back over 40 psi. from my manual that seems to me good. i hope

I feel for you Bolo. Re-powers are definately a pain in the ***. I too have re-powered with a Rapido engine, and after all my hard work, I would be PISSED if I had to take it apart again.

That being said, I hope for your sake that your mechanical skills are better than your typing skills!!!!! Your posts are sure hard to read! ;)

Good luck bro, I hope it's a simple fix!
