Re: Recommend me a boat.

Here are a couple aluminum boats w/ cabins, first one 21' second one 26' in length. Easier towing than a fiberglass rig that size that would run 5-8000lbs when fueled up, and save money on fuel on the water too.

I used to live in Liverpool as well, nice area. Are you looking for something for Lake Ontario or inland lakes?

Wow, that first one is a hell of a deal, especially if he is flexible on pricing.

As far as performance goes, I don't really need much. My current boat only hits around 35mph and I've never complained about that.

Now when you say rough it, what do you mean ? I would just like somewhere to sleep comfortably, a bathroom, and a shower would be a plus. I've never been in a cabin cruiser or a cuddy so I don't know what to expect.

This boat caught my eye, although I think the teal is ugly.

I also found this boat, again ugly teal though.

Trailering isn't an issue, if my 1500 can't tow it safely than I have use of the company truck.(2500hd)

Can't go wrong with Regal boats, as Im sure you are aware. Top tier boats that are always top three (if not THE top) in JDpower construction and reliability. Sea-Ray and cobalt are also usually right up there.

I definitely like the first one better. Walk through windshield to sun lunge is awesome. Seems to be well cared for. I bet you could get her for 15k.... guy seems eager to sell.

I know this isn't in your area....but I have dealt with these people and found them to be reputable...my parents have a 28' Bayliner parked at this marina. This boat looks like it's been taken care of and wont break the bank.

Seems like a decent price. Although the imperial i have now (mid 80's) which i am selling, is one of the shoddiest built boats I've ever seen. The transom had to be replaced by the previous owner (one owner boat btw), the floor, and seats because of rotting. If you look into the ski locker, and take out the wood, there are parts where you can see light, because the fiberglass is so thin. The original foam comes out so far in some areas of the side pockets that they are unusable and push the carpet out. The front of the boat sits lower than the back, and even if you jack the trailer all the way up, water still sits in the front. I only found out after having rotten wood in the ski locker and bilge. After replacing parts of the floor, i know have to put the front of the trailer on blocks to drain the water.

Sorry, sort of a frustrated rant. This is why i bought a well maintained regal. So much more solidly built.

That's a cuddy. The cuddy can sleep a couple people overnight, and probably has a porta-pottie under the v-berth... but it has few if any amenities for weekending.

The OP stated previously that he wanted an express cruiser in the 24-26 foot range. An express has a stand up cabin, fresh water holding tank and sink (probably with water heater), one or 2-burner cooktop, enclosed head with shower and toilet (or MSD) with deck pump-out. It'll also probably have a shore power connection and 1 or 2 110V outlets in the cabin.

I've been trying to contact the owner of the Regal Valanti 260, but I haven't had much luck. I'm also curious as to why there are no pictures of the cabin in the ad, seem kind of odd to me since the cabin is a huge part of the boat. If this doesn't work out then I'll just keep looking. Worst comes to worst I'm stuck with my open bow for another season, but if that happens I'd have more money set aside for upgrading.
