working on the interior of the Rogue, removing the 31 year old carpeting from the insides of the gunwale compartments...... somewhere in the past some goober used a whole tube of silicone caulk to re-stick the port side carpet.
no problem with a wire brush where its on the inside of the non-finished floor as it will be covered back up. however the carpet also was glued down to the gel coated floor...
besides patience, a razor blade and time, anyone have any suggestions on something that will soften cured silicone from non-skid gel..... a cup brush in the angle grinder will damage the gel which is not my intent.
