Re: Removing throttle cable 1975 Johnson 85 HP
Please remember that I am a novice so most times I am guessing when drawing a conclusion. I understand your confusion trying to follow the logic of a novice
My concern for the cable length is that it would allow me to adjust? Really just a guess. Any other thoughts you may have - please I am wide open to ideas and areas I need to look at.
From what little I understand if I can work the linkage manually without a cable connection then that is good. That leaves two other options (I think): (1) the adjustment triunion nut was off and (2) a problem at the shift box. I don't see an issue at the shift box. All parts were connected and rotating as expected.
