I've noticed that in several, if not many posts, that the last word of the first line gets repeated as the first word of the second line. The first time or two that I noticed this, I thought it was just a kinda funny oversight on the part of the person posting. After a short time, I started noticing it more and more. I still thought it was kinda funny until I noticed it in my posts, too:facepalm:. It's not so funny any more:rolleyes:.
How long do we have before the Grammer Police start banging on our doors at 0300hrs?:p;)
Mods, I'm beggin' ya!!!... If ya can't do sumpin' 'bout dis, is youz gonna bail us out when da Grammer Police trows us in da pokey?

Can you believe this?... It's been freezing here for the last few weeks:facepalm:. 35 degrees here is like sub zero where I'm from. It's the humidity. It's a wet cold, and it freezes you to the bone. Dressing in layers doesn't help because the wet air just gets right through every layer. It's been in the lower twenties and teens for the last week. We actually had two days of ice storms. I don't have a problem with cold weather boating, being from New York. My wife is from here and my two sons were born here. They don't handle the cold like I do. I don't spend enough time with my family as it is, because of work. There's no way I'd run off with the boat without them, and there's no way they'd go boating in the cold. I'm stuck:(.

There is an upside, though. This never lasts long. We may have 80 degree weather in two weeks. We just never know. The boating season is long here. Starts in February/March and ends in November/December. By this time next year, though, I probably won't be working so much. Taking the boat out on my own won't be like abandoning my family.

I Know you were "Just Sayin'" and didn't really need the long explanation, but:p to you too Buddy!!!

PS: Don't tell LippCJ7 it's been cold where I am. I may never hear the end of it.;)

Hey Royal,

Just realized you're from Alabama... I guess you're quite familiar with the weather I'm talking about. How's the weather where you are? I've never heard of Goodwater. What part of Alabama?
Do you have a similar boating season?

Hi neighbor! I'm E Central AL, 'bout halfway between B'ham and Auburn. I boat Lake Martin, the best kept secret in the South ;)

We had the ice storm sunday, which wasn't really that bad. Since then it's ran teens to low 20's overnight, mid 30's daytime, with a stiff north wind constant. Yesterday was great, balmy 49?, and no wind! I actually got outside for awhile. Call me a wus, but I don't do 40's and wind. Humidity wise it's dry, but with gusts at 20+, well.........

Around here, 'recreational' boat season runs April/May to about September. Alabama Power drops the lake level down during winter, starting right after Labor Day. But, you see hard-core fishermen out year-round. Not me, my tub has been parked since late Sept.

So, here's to you and the 80? weather

Nah!!! Would'nt call ya a wus. Born Southerners just don't like the cold. My wife and sons can't stand it. The only time my sons happily tolerate the cold, is when there's snow involved!!! We had the same ice storm here. Gonna Google Lake Martin. Maybe I'll see ya out there some time:D.
