Hey guys. Working on a 1983 140 Evinrude. Lower unit shift screw was frozen in and while getting that out I broke the linkage on the bottom of the intake manifold. Got a used intake manifold today so as soon as I can clean it up I'll start putting her back together. All the reeds look good. Should I replace the gaskets from the reeds to the manifold? What's the best way to clean reeds? So far I'm putting in new water pump kit, rebuilding carbs, rebuilding fuel pump, prop shaft seal, new fuel lines, and plugs. Anything else I should do while it's torn down this far? Should I go ahead and replace the thermostats and pull the heads to check diverters? It had a good tell tale as it is but it was unknown how long it had been since the impeller had been replaced. Thanks.
